In this edition we interview storyteller Sita Brand who reflects on the power of story as we grow older.
She believes storytelling helps us understand ourselves and each other, and that how we ask for stories matters. Instead of asking elders what they remember, she suggests asking what they’ve never been allowed to tell.
For Sita, radical creative ageing is about curiosity, courage and lifelong learning, reminding us that creativity and wisdom continue to grow with age.

Beginning in the radical political theatre scene of the 1980s he has collaborated across genres and generations, creating work that blends punk energy, musical experimentation and deep social engagement. Tayo continues to challenge ideas about ageing and artistry, proving that curiosity, collaboration and courage are ageless qualities.

In this Fanzine, we feature Greta Mendez, a dancer, choreographer, and carnivalist. She reflects on her lifelong creative journey and the challenges and possibilities of ageing as an artist.
She explains how dance “saved her life” as a child, giving her a sense of purpose and joy. Although she built a career in the UK and Internationally, racism and exclusion in contemporary dance led her to co-found a company (MAAS Movers) that opened doors for Black dancers.
